The following steps will guide you how to paste an ASCII text version of your resume into the resume field. Please ensure that your browser window of the Winn-Dixie On-Line Employment Application web page remains open. 1. Open a simple text editor, such as Notepad. On a PC, click Start > Programs > Accessories > Notepad. 2. Pull your resume into this simple text editor, by clicking on the text editor's File menu then selecting Open. Locate your resume file on your computer's hard drive and click OK. Your resume appears in the text editor's window. 3. A text editor removes some of the formatting that appeared in a word processing application. It is suggested that you review your resume in the text editor's window and reformat any necessary areas. 4. Once all formatting changes are made, highlight all of the text in your text editor by clicking the Edit menu, then Select All. All of the text is highlighted when the background and text are reversed in color (i.e. black background with white text). Be careful not to click anywhere within the text editor's window, or the highlighting may be lost. If this occurs, simply highlight the page again. 5. Copy the highlighted resume by clicking the Edit menu, then Copy. 6. Using your mouse, click on the resume field of the Winn-Dixie On-Line Employment Application form. 7. Paste the copied resume into the resume field by clicking the right mouse button then select Paste. Your resume appears in the resume field. Prior to submitting the application, we suggest that you click the Preview button at the bottom of the On-Line Employment Application page to review the way your resume will appear to us. Any necessary changes can be made directly in the form's resume field prior to submitting it to us. |
