Winn-Dixie Signature Recipe
Spinach Dip
Preparation Time: 2 hours, 5 min.
Serves: 8
Ingredients:
10 oz Spinach, frozen, chopped -- thawed and thoroughly drained
1/2 cup Onions, spring or scallions (green onions), raw -- with tops, chopped
1/2 cup Parsley, fresh -- chopped
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
1 lb Cream, sour
8 oz Water chestnuts, canned, sliced -- drained
1 packet Soup, leek, dry -- (Knorr? or similar brand)
Preparation:
1. Mix all ingredients well. Chill 2 hours.
2. Suggested to serve with various raw veggies, crackers or bread.
Tip: Carve out center of grapefruit, pineapple, cabbage, green pepper or cantaloupe for a dip container. Or use a hollowed-out loaf of fresh, unsliced bread from the bakery for a creative, edible dip holder.
