Winn-Dixie Signature Recipe
Poppin' Corn Bars
Kids love this yummy combination
Preparation Time: 1 hour, 15 min.
Cooking Time: 10 min.
Serves: 24
Ingredients:
4 cup Marshmallows, miniature -- or regular
1 cup Raisins, seedless
1/4 cup Margarine, regular -- or butter
1 cup Peanuts, honey roasted
3 cup Cereal, corn puffs, sweetened -- Winn-Dixie brand
1 cup Chocolate, pieces, candy coated -- miniature or regular
3 cup Popcorn, caramel-coated, without peanuts
1 teaspoon Butter, with salt -- grease pan
Preparation:
1. Butter a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
2. In a large saucepan, melt marshmallows and margarine over low heat, stirring constantly until completely melted.
3. Add cereal, caramel popcorn, peanuts and raisins; stir until well coated.
4. Pour mixture into prepared pan and press down with back of lightly buttered spoon.
5. Sprinkle evenly with candy pieces; press lightly.
6. Chill 1 hour; cut into 24 bars. Store in airtight container.
