Winn-Dixie Signature Recipe

Frosted Raisin Squares

Serves: 24

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Butter, with salt -- or margarine (1 stick)
1/2 cup Sugar, brown
1/4 cup Sugar, granulated
1 large Egg, whole, raw
1 teaspoon Vanilla bean
1 cup Flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, bleached
1/2 teaspoon Baking powder, double-acting, sodium aluminum sulfate
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
2 1/2 cup Cereal, toasted oats -- crushed to 1 1/2 cups
1 cup Raisins, seedless
2/3 cup Sugar, powdered or confectioners'
1 tablespoon Milk, 3.25% (homogenized)

Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13x9x2-baking pan.

2. Beat butter or margarine, brown sugar, and sugar in bowl.

3. Add egg and vanilla; beat well.

4. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, in separate bowl.

5. Add to butter mixture; mix well. Add cereal and raisins, stirring until thoroughly combined. Spread evenly in bottom of pan.

6. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool.

7. Combine powdered sugar and milk; stir until smooth. Drizzle over top. Cut into 24 squares.
