Winn-Dixie Signature Recipe
Kuumba Pie
Great for Kwanzaa
Preparation Time: 10 min.
Cooking Time: 50 min.
Serves: 8
Ingredients:
4 large Egg, whole, raw
1 cup Syrups, corn, light
2/3 cup Sugar, granulated
3 tablespoon Butter, with salt -- melted
1 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoon Almond extract
1 1/2 teaspoon Chocolate extract
6 oz Chocolate, white, bar -- melted
1 cup Pecans, halves
1 cup Almonds, slivered
1 crust Pie crust, frozen, ready-to-bake -- unbaked, 9-inch
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
2. In the large bowl of an electric mixer, beat the eggs until fluffy.
3. Add the rest of the ingredients except for pecan halves, almonds and pie crust. Beat until well blended.
4. Stir in the pecans and almonds.
5. Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
6. Bake 50 to 55 minutes until set.
