Winn-Dixie Signature Recipe
Chili Con Carne

Cooking Time: 8 hours
Serves: 8
Ingredients:
2 lb Beef, ground, regular, raw
2 cup Onions, raw -- chopped
2 clove Garlic, raw -- crushed
3 tablespoon Chili powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Paprika
1 teaspoon Oregano, ground (dried)
1 teaspoon Cumin, ground
1/2 teaspoon Pepper, red or cayenne
1/2 cup Beef stock -- or tomato juice
1 3/4 lb Tomatoes, stewed, canned
1 lb Beans, kidney, red, mature seeds, canned
8 oz Pasta, elbow shaped, dry
1/2 cup Cheese, cheddar, grated/shredded
Preparation:
1. Brown beef in skillet. Drain fat.
2. Combine all ingredients except macaroni and cheese in crock pot, stirring well. Cook on low 8 to 10 hours or on high for 5 hours.
3. About 20 minutes before serving, prepare macaroni according to directions on package.
4. Serve chili over macaroni.
5. Sprinkle cheese over the chili.
