Winn-Dixie Signature Recipe

Chuckwagon Beef and Pasta Skillet

Preparation Time: 10 min.
Cooking Time: 25 min.
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

1 lb Beef, ground, regular, raw
1 small Peppers, bell, green -- chopped
1/2 cup Onions, raw -- chopped
14 oz Beef broth or bouillon, canned
1 1/2 cup Pasta, wagon wheel shaped, dry -- uncooked
1 cup Sauce, Barbecue, Hickory Smoke
1/4 cup Water
1/2 cup Cheese, cheddar, finely shredded -- or colby

Preparation:

1. Brown ground beef with bell pepper and onion in large nonstick skillet over medium heat 6 minutes or until beef is not pink, breaking beef up into 3/4-inch crumbles. Pour off drippings.

2. Stir in broth, pasta, barbecue sauce and 1/4 cup water; bring to a boil.

3. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until pasta is almost tender.

4. Uncover; cook 5 to 7 minutes or until pasta is tender and sauce is thickened, stirring occasionally.

5. Sprinkle with cheese.
