Winn-Dixie Signature Recipe

Ingredients:
SAUCE
1 lb Beef, ground, regular, raw
1 medium Onions, raw -- chopped
1 clove Garlic, raw -- pressed
1 lb Tomatoes, whole, canned
15 oz Tomato sauce, canned
2 tablespoon Parsley, flakes, dried
1 teaspoon Sugar, brown
1 teaspoon Basil, ground, dry
1/2 teaspoon Salt
FILLING
9 piece Pasta, lasagna, dry
1 lb Cheese, ricotta, part skim milk -- or cottage cheese
1/2 cup Cheese, parmesan, grated
1 tablespoon Parsley, flakes, dried
1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 1/2 tablespoon Oregano, ground (dried)
2 cup Cheese, mozzarella, shredded
Preparation:
1. Cook and stir ground beef, onion and garlic in skillet until meat is brown; drain.
2. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons parsley, sugar, basil and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
3. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered until mixture becomes thick sauce, about 1 hour.
4. Cook noodles as directed on package.
5. Reserve 1/2 cup of the sauce mixture.
6. Mix ricotta cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon parsley, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and oregano.
7. Layer 1/3 each of the noodles, sauce, mozzarella cheese and ricotta cheese mixture in ungreased 13X9X2-inch baking pan. Repeat 2 times.
8. Top with remaining 3 noodles. Spoon reserved sauce mixture onto top; sprinkle with 1/4 cup parmesan cheese.
9. Cook uncovered in 350F oven for 45 minutes.
10. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
